Jenna StearnsJenna Stearns, PharmD, BCPP is a board-certified, clinical pharmacy specialist in psychiatry. Upon completion of her PharmD from Cedarville University School of Pharmacy, she pursued a year of general pharmacy residency at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center and a year of specialized psychiatric pharmacy residency at Fulton State Hospital in Fulton, Missouri. She is currently the clinical pharmacy specialist for the medical psychiatry unit (MPU) and emergency psychiatric access team (EPAT) at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.  In addition to clinical responsibilities, she has an assistant professor academic appointment at both Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Walsh University Byers School of Nursing in the School of Behavioral and Health Sciences.


The Unfiltered Truth: CKD Pharmacology Updates, presented by Braden Bizon DMSc, PA-C, MPAS

  • Review the 2024 KDIGO guidelines, including evaluation, management, disease progression, and complications

He attended Gannon University’s 5-year PA program and received his Doctor of Medical Science degree from Shenandoah University. He has clinical experience in primary care, obesity medicine, and medical aesthetics. In addition to his work with the OAPA, Braden also serves as the provider liaison for the Ohio Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Outside of clinic, Braden is an avid traveler, with the goal of visiting every National Park. He has been to 21/63 parks, with his top recommendation being Ohio’s very own Cuyahoga Valley National Park!

During her clinical career, she served as a senior lead advanced practice provider (APP) and developed a transition-to-clinical-practice program for new APPs. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Marshall University Physician Assistant Program, where she teaches clinical medicine, assessment, and procedural skills. Her academic interests include active learning strategies, simplifying complex clinical content, and supporting the development of clinical reasoning and confidence in PA learners.

A graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Scott has been in practice for 13 years. His career included service with the U.S. Navy before he returned to Ohio. In addition to his clinical work, Scott focuses on quality improvement and education. He serves on and chairs several hospital committees, acts as the emergency medicine education coordinator and OAPA student affairs chair, and lectures at local physician assistant programs.

Randall TothRandy Toth, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with over seven years of experience in orthopedic surgery. He earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Ohio Dominican University. He practices at Orthopedic One in Columbus, Ohio, specializing in adult reconstruction with a focus on hip and knee arthroplasty and lower extremity trauma. His responsibilities include evaluating and managing new, established, and postoperative patients and first assisting in surgery. His clinical interests include same-day joint replacement protocols, multimodal opioid-sparing pain management, and optimizing functional outcomes following arthroplasty and fracture care.


Pharmacologic Considerations in Outpatient Burn Management, presented by Rachel Vaglienti, PA-C

  • Describe the appropriate selection and application of topical agents for outpatient burn management

Rachel Vaglienti 1283 PpRachel M. Vaglienti, PA-C, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Education at the University of Dayton, where she teaches across multiple clinical disciplines. She is a practicing Physician Assistant in burn and wound surgery at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. With prior clinical experience in cardiology, plastic surgery, pain management, and anesthesia, she brings broad real-world expertise to PA education. She is board certified, an ACLS/BLS instructor, and actively involved in professional education and student mentorship. In her spare time, she also volunteers as a provider at Reach Out of Montgomery County, a free clinic providing health care services for the underserved/ uninsured population. She lives in Kettering, Ohio with her husband and two children, ages 3 and 5.

Glennie Jessica 788527Jessica Glennie is a certified nurse practitioner who has worked in outpatient pulmonary medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio for 11 years. She works within the interstitial lung disease program, caring for patients across the spectrum of all ILD diagnoses. She is co-director of the Cleveland Clinic’s ILD multidisciplinary conference. She also runs a support group for pulmonary fibrosis in the Northeast Ohio region.

BCPS is a clinical pharmacy specialist at Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital and assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He graduated pharmacy school with his doctorate in pharmacy at the University of Toledo in 2021 and completed post graduate residency at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center in 2022. His clinical service includes supporting a 12-bed medical intensive care unit at Euclid Hospital. He also serves as the pharmacy residency program coordinator which includes precepting multiple pharmacy residents and pharmacy students in the last year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program from Northeast Ohio Medical University. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys playing tennis and enjoying the many Metroparks within northeast Ohio with his family.

Paul Amiott HeadshotPaul M. Amiott, PA-C, EMT-P has practiced emergency medicine for approximately 11 years, the last 6 providing solo overnight ED coverage with a physician on call in rural critical access hospitals in Arizona, Colorado, and Indiana. He has also worked in emergency departments at trauma centers and community hospitals in Ohio. Mr. Amiott received his MPAS and holds Ohio certifications as a professional firefighter, paramedic, and EMS instructor. His professional interests include pain control techniques that do not require opiates and management of psychiatric emergencies, especially violent and/or combative patients. Mr. Amiott is a member of the board of directors for the Society of Emergency Medicine PAs.
