PA Week 2026: Meet an Ohio PA - Leah Reiss, MS, PA-C
OAPA is proud to join the PA community in Ohio and across the nation in celebrating PA Week 2026.
Throughout the week, we are featuring PAs from around the state and sharing updates on our website and social media. We’re also reaching out to nonmember PAs, encouraging them to get involved and join our growing community. A stronger, more connected PA network in Ohio brings us closer to our shared vision - making Ohio the premier state for PAs.
PA Week Profile of the Day: Leah Reiss, MS, PA-C
Leah has worked as a PA in general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology for more than seven years. She works both inpatient and outpatient at Cleveland Clinic, caring for patients with heart rhythm conditions from the hospital through their follow-up in clinic. Leah loves her job, especially providing high quality, thorough care to patients. Teaching is also one of her favorite parts of the job, so she is a frequent preceptor of PA students.
"Noticing the details that make a real difference for a patient is the most rewarding aspect of being a PA. Sometimes it's catching a financial barrier and working to make an important medication affordable, so patients can access the best therapy. Other times it's spotting something on a device check that changes their management entirely. Most rewarding of all, it's helping patients feel better and get back to the life they want to be living."
Leah will be celebrating PA Week by doing the two things she loves most: taking care of her patients and spending time with her family.
Thanks for having a heart for the PA profession, Leah, and Happy PA Week!
