- Identify what patients may benefit from ID consult for CoPAT
- Recognize the co-management between ID and other hospital and outpatient services when treating patients on CoPAT
Speaker Information:
Caitlin Oravec, PA-C, is a physician assistant in Infectious Diseases at Cleveland Clinic Akron General where she works on a busy inpatient service collaborating with ID physicians, APPs, and clinical pharmacists. With 10 years of experience in infectious diseases, she is a dedicated clinician providing timely consultation to diagnose and treat complex bacterial, viral, and fungal infections in hospitalized patients and facilitate the transition of that care to outpatient follow-up. She regularly acts as a clinical preceptor to PA students on elective rotations in infectious diseases. She was honored to receive the Distinguished Physician Assistant Award through PA services at the Cleveland Clinic in 2024, nominated by one of her collaborating physicians.
