“When Seconds Matter: Early Recognition of High-Risk Neurologic Emergencies"

  • Differentiate high-risk neurologic emergencies from common mimics using a structured clinical approach
  • Initiate appropriate early management and determine when urgent escalation of care is required in neurologic emergencies

Speaker Information:

Emily Keller Headshot 2025Emily N. Keller, DMS, PA-C, is a neurosurgery physician assistant with clinical experience spanning inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical care. In addition to her clinical work, she has previously served in physician assistant education, with a strong focus on physiology, pathophysiology, and clinical reasoning. Emily is actively involved in professional leadership through the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants and has presented on neurosurgical topics at state and national conferences. Her professional interests include neuroscience education, mentorship, advanced practice provider development, and improving interdisciplinary collaboration and patient care outcomes, with a particular passion for supporting the continued growth and development of APPs across clinical practice settings.
