Happy PA Week!

OAPA is proud to join the PA and PA student community in Ohio and across the country in celebrating PA Week 2024.

This week, OAPA will post daily on our website and social media with PA news and opportunities, plus profiles of Ohio PAs. We will also be conducting an outreach to nonmember PAs in Ohio encouraging them to join OAPA. The stronger the Ohio PA community, the better chance we have at achieving our vision of Ohio as the premier state for PAs.

Abigail (Abby) Copper, MSM, PA-C

How long have you been a PA and what is your current role?

I have been a PA since 2016 and I am currently a Center Medical Director at Oak Street Health in Cincinnati, OH.

What is the most rewarding aspect of being a PA?

I thoroughly enjoy the autonomy and flexibility this career has given me. Working in primary care most of my 8 years, the relationships with my colleagues and patients have impacted me greatly! Having the privilege to care for my patients is something I’m incredibly honored to do daily.

How are you celebrating PA Week?

By celebrating US! I am making sure that people know it is PA Week to spread positivity and awareness around our amazing profession.
