PA Program Spotlight: Marietta College

Marietta 1

The Marietta College Physician Assistant Program strives to educate future PAs to provide quality healthcare. The program has an overall 99.1% graduation rate and an overall PANCE pass rate of 100%. The Marietta College Physician Assistant Program’s first cohort started in 2002 and graduated in 2004, marking the 20th anniversary of the program this year. Over its 20 years the program has grown from 15 students in the inaugural cohort to 41 in the recent 2026 cohort. In addition, in 2023, the college was able to receive a one time class size increase to take two Alderson Broaddus students following program closure.

The Class of 2026 is in the middle of their first semester of the didactic year. The focus is on anatomy and normal radiology, which allows students to better understand abnormals as didactic year continues. “One of the standout aspects of Marietta’s PA Program is the exceptional kindness and encouragement from its faculty. Their profound knowledge and passion for their careers is evident, fostering a culture that embraces a welcoming environment where students eagerly support each other.” -Angie M., 1st Year Student, Class of 2026

The Class of 2025 received their white coat this past April and is currently on their second clinical rotation. “As one rotation comes to a conclusion, we share excitement to the next ten coming along the way. The transformation of this journey is humbling, though we are equipped with knowledge that fuels our growth. We bring the lessons from lectures and labs, applying this education to real-life scenarios where each patient gives us a unique perspective into the art of medicine. With each hour, week, and setting, we embrace the act of lifelong learning and hope to influence people’s lives one step at a time.” - Ellie C., 2nd year student and President of the Class of 2025

The Class of 2024, which is the 21st cohort, celebrated their graduation on July 20th. The cohort will soon be graduates of Marietta College and be starting their careers as Physician Assistants adding 34 extraordinary providers into the profession. “It feels surreal to be graduating. I remember talking to the 3rd years as a first year thinking that graduation seemed impossible. I am so grateful for the friendships I have made throughout PA school. In addition, Marietta’s faculty has been absolutely wonderful throughout the process. They not only have prepared me academically but also supported me personally through the rigorous process. I am excited to put to use all of the knowledge and skills I have learned.” - Sabrina A., 3rd year student, Class of 2024

The program has helped 21 cohorts become exceptional providers, offering high quality care and continuing to be lifelong learners. The program is currently in the process of interviewing the next group of future Physician Assistants for the Class of 2027.
