Neuroendocrine Zebras: Pheochromocytomas and Paragangliomas

• Define the difference between pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas
• Describe how to appropriately work up pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas
• Identify how to appropriately alpha-block patients with pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas for surgery
• Discuss other types of tumors associated with pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas

Speaker Biography:

Lisa Ward, PA-C, graduated from Kettering College of Medical Arts in 1998. She practiced 15 years in Family Medicine private practice and now works at the Ohio State University/James Cancer Hospital in endocrinology/oncology since 2014 treating thyroid cancer, adrenal, and pituitary
disease.
