PA Program Spotlight: Ohio University

Ohio University

Left to right: Ohio University PA Program Class of 2026, Class of 2024, Class of 2025

Ohio University’s PA Program continues to thrive. In May, we proudly graduated 33 students, while launching 30 members of the 2025 cohort into their inaugural clinical rotations. At the end of June, we eagerly anticipate hosting the white coat ceremony for the 38 students of the 2026 cohort. We commend all our students, especially our newest OUPA graduates, who are preparing to become official PA-Cs as they embark on their PANCE exams.

As OUPA students, we deeply appreciate the abundant resources available on our campus. These include our dedicated faculty members whose support is invaluable, and our state-of-the-art cadaver lab, which has been instrumental in providing us with a robust understanding of anatomy. Moreover, the program offers three elective clinical rotations, enabling us to explore specialized areas in depth. Thanks to these exceptional resources, OUPA proudly achieved a 100% first-time pass rate on the PANCE in 2023.

Our OUPA students eagerly anticipate engaging in meaningful service opportunities within our community. Recently, we participated in Bobcat Beautification Day, enhancing parks across Columbus by mulching and cleaning up litter. Looking ahead, OAPA is gearing up for our upcoming Dublin Medical Academy Summer Camp in July, where we will provide hands-on medical education and demonstrations to high school students aspiring for careers in the pre-med field. Additionally, we will offer guidance and education on the physician assistant career path. Furthermore, we are excited to support Habitat for Humanity and are preparing for our annual 5k event tentatively scheduled for October. This event aims to raise funds for an organization
selected by our class of 2026 cohort through a voting process.
