The Regional Adult Burn Center at Miami Valley Hospital has an excellent full-time opportunity for a qualified Physician Assistant in Southwest Ohio. Join a highly successful team to provide clinic and inpatient support, with a flexible call schedule including only one weekend per month. Experienced candidates will assist in the OR, conduct pre-and post-op assessments, provide inpatient and outpatient treatment, and partner in care management (including critical care). Treatment includes: Early assessment and individualized treatment plan for best overall outcome, burn/wound scar assessment, reconstruction and management for optimal functionality and cosmesis, assist with surgical debridement, assist in consults with a burn care physician, educate on burn/wound care and prevention, Laser Doppler Blood Flow Evaluations, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, and much more.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a compassionate, energetic team player, passionate about burn and wound care, and proficient with an EMR. Must possess appropriate professional licensure, strong communication skills and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
-Successful completion of an accredited PA program
-Ohio PA licensure or eligibility
-National certification in Ohio or in another state with reciprocity
-Experience in burn and wound care preferred
-Surgical experience preferred
