Treatment of COVID-19
Presented by Elisha Fleig, MPAS, PA-C, Cleveland Clinic
Learning Objectives:
- Triage symptoms to analyze appropriate level of care for COVID-19 positive patients.
- Identify standards of care for COVID-19 treatment in outpatient, inpatient, and critical care areas.
- Review treatment interventions for refractory infections.
- Discuss ancillary COVID-19 treatments/future directions for care.
Speaker Biography:
Elisha Fleig, MPAS, PA-C, has worked as a Physician Assistant since 2013 after graduating from Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania. She first began practicing at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Bone Marrow Transplant for two years prior to establishing a career in the Clinic's Medical ICUs, where she has now worked for ten years. Elisha has served in a leadership role on her team for eight years. Throughout this time, she has collaborated with APP and physician leaders, managing an expansive team which grew from approximately twenty APPs at one site to nearly ninety APPs at four sites, also overseeing the evolution in their scope of practice. Elisha proudly serves as the Assistant Editor for CHEST, managing publishing logistics and shaping journal goals and objectives. Outside of work, she serves on the Physician Assistant Program Advisory Board at Ursuline College, remains involved with her alma mater, and enjoys training for triathlons. Elisha is honored to speak at this conference, representing this incredible profession.
