Summary:
In this session, Rick Rohrs will explore important elements of PA professional practice and examine best practices for PA collaboration, including effective communication, interdisciplinary teamwork, and patient diversity. He will discuss emerging technologies relevant to practice and the variability of state, regional, local, and institutional policies and laws. Rick will describe strategies and opportunities for enhancing PA professional growth and development.
Speaker Information:
Rick spent his career at Northwest Hospital Center in Maryland and retired as Assistant Vice President of Provider Operations, where he was responsible for the administration of employed and contracted provider services. Rick’s long record of professional involvement demonstrates leadership at the state, national, and international levels including serving as NCCPA and AAPA Board President. Rick is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins PA program and practiced internal medicine in a hospital setting for 40 years, transitioning from a clinical to an administrative role during his career. Rick joined the nccPA Health Foundation Board of Directors in 2019 and serves as Chair of the Board.
