PA WEEK 2024: Celebrate PA Week by Advancing OAPA's Legislative Efforts
Happy PA Week!
OAPA is proud to join the PA and PA student community in Ohio and across the country in celebrating PA Week 2024.
This week, OAPA will post daily on our website and social media with PA news and opportunities, plus profiles of Ohio PAs. We will also be conducting an outreach to nonmember PAs in Ohio encouraging them to join OAPA. The stronger the Ohio PA community, the better chance we have at achieving our vision of Ohio as the premier state for PAs.

We continue to celebrate our 2024 legislative wins in Ohio, including passage of the PA Licensure Compact and new access for PAs as authorized signers.
We have also had an active year in advancing, or resisting, other pieces of legislation, providing testimony, launching a lobbyist search process, and deciding to hold a PA Advocacy Day in 2025! Follow along with all of our legislative news on our website.
To prepare for 2025 and the new Ohio General Assembly, OAPA seeks to strengthen our financial position through support for our Legislative Fund. Contributions of any amount are helpful, but consider $57 (in honor of 57 years of the PA profession), or even $25 (to help us make a legislative splash in '25). These funds are used for OAPA's expenses associated with lobbying and other legislative activities.
Alternatively, OAPA accepts contributions to its political action committee (PAC), which exists to monetarily support legislative candidates who help to advance PA profession priorities.
