Happy PA Week!
OAPA is proud to join the PA and PA student community in Ohio and across the country in celebrating PA Week 2024.
This week, OAPA will post daily on our website and social media with PA news and opportunities, plus profiles of Ohio PAs. We will also be conducting an outreach to nonmember PAs in Ohio encouraging them to join OAPA. The stronger the Ohio PA community, the better chance we have at achieving our vision of Ohio as the premier state for PAs.

How long have you been a PA and what is your current role?
Summa Health System 1992-1997
Family Physicians Associates 1997-2000
Cardiovascular Medicine Associates 2000-2004
United States Department of Veteran's Affairs Spinal Cord Injury Service 2004 - Current
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a PA?
I love helping people feel healthy, comfortable, and happy. After a productive work day, I often lay down with a smile on my face knowing that I provided beneficial healthcare for my well deserving patients.
How are you celebrating PA Week?
Just working Monday through Friday as usual but I did plan a VAPA get together at Topgolf. It's always fun to get together with other PAs in our hospital and socialize about everything going on.
What else should we know about you?
I enjoy family time with my wife, two daughters, and granddaughter, golfing, music (Metal is my favorite), swimming in my pool, attending Paralyzed Veteran Association events, singing karaoke, watching theater and going to comedy shows. I am grateful to all the PA pioneers in Ohio that helped advance our profession over the last five decades to make it what it is today. I feel lucky to be part of this profession as I ride into the retirement years.
