Stephanie Whitling, PA-C, Center for Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, will cover this important topic during her session at the upcoming 2024 OAPA Annual Conference. She will define the 4 lifestyle pillars of health, describe ways to continue to utilize the pillars when you have a busy schedule, and explain why a healthy microbiome is essential for your immune system and how to keep it strong when you are stressed.
We recently caught up with Stephanie to ask her more about this important session she is planning.
OAPA:
Why are you excited to present to the OAPA audience on this topic?
Stephanie:
I have always had an interest in health, wellness, and preventative medicine, but now I am blessed to have the opportunity to practice with one of the nation's largest medical institutes, Cleveland Clinic, and I want to share. I believe knowledge is power and we can all be healthy even when we are busy!
OAPA:
What do you think might surprise people about this topic?
Stephanie:
It seems simple, but consistency is the key to living a healthy lifestyle.
OAPA:
Why do you love being a PA?
Stephanie:
I have been a PA for 20 years and love working with patients and hearing their stories. I am looking forward to meeting new people and seeing some old friends at the 2024 OAPA Annual Conference.
OAPA:
Tell us something about your life outside of work.
Stephanie:
I live in Medina with my husband and 4 growing kids. Work-life balance is often difficult, but achievable!
