Josanne Pagel retired as Executive Director of PA Services at Cleveland Clinic Health System in June 2022, overseeing physician assistants' compliance, utilization, and team-based care. A former AAPA President and Distinguished Fellow, she has served Ohio Association of Physician Assistants in myriad roles, including President, Government Affairs Chair, and Pharmacology Conference Chair. With 40+ years in clinical and administrative roles, she champions PA practice legislation and received AAPA's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023. Pagel started as a Peace Corps volunteer and holds degrees from Cuyahoga Community College, Baldwin Wallace University, and the University of Nebraska. Active in community health and gardening, she lectures on PA leadership and professionalism post-retirement.
