The Baldwin Wallace PA Program has several exciting events occurring in May! Thirty-three students will be graduating and preparing to take PANCE. Thirty-three students will be completing their didactic year, receiving their white coats, and preparing for clinicals. Thirty-five new students will begin their journey to becoming PAs by embarking on their first semester of didactic year. We wish all our students the best of luck in their next step of BW’s 24-month program!
As BW students, we are grateful for the multitude of unique opportunities that are provided in our program. Baldwin Wallace has a cadaver lab on campus which is both convenient for our students and allows us to maintain a strong foundation in anatomy. Ultrasound club is another amazing opportunity to perfect our skills regularly in the final semester of the didactic year. BW’s program offers the unique opportunity for their students to select three elective rotations to further explore more specialized care. Our program has an overall 99% first time pass rate on PANCE and our graduates have gone on to amazing clinical positions in Ohio and beyond.
Beyond the classroom, BW has continued our connection with the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio by assisting them with learning-based activities throughout the year. In the month of April, several students volunteered with the undergraduate Pre-PA club to demonstrate ultrasound techniques and manual blood pressure readings. Our students have found various ways to create long-lasting memories outside the classroom with frequent potlucks, a Valentine's Day party, and a PA-Prom.
