In May of 2023, Cedarville inaugurated their first cohort and began their first year as a new Physician Assistant program in the state of Ohio. Cedarville is unique in that it offers an accelerated 24 month program with rigorous academic and hands-on training. The program prides itself in the diversity seen within our first cohort, with 40% of our students coming from across the country. We continue to commit to growing our program in excellence and diversity.
The Class of 2025 has had a few incredible opportunities to serve in our local community. During our fall semester, a group of students volunteered at Dayton Gospel Mission serving in a soup kitchen for those in need in the Dayton area. During our spring semester, a group of our students visited the Therapeutic Riding Institute, a non-profit organization, in Spring Valley, Ohio. The institute is dedicated to providing a safe place of recovery and therapy sessions for adults and children dealing with PTSD and other mental disabilities. Our students spent a day volunteering by cleaning and organizing their event spaces and the areas they use to meet with families for consultation. They also spent a day during spring semester volunteering at Caring Partners International in Franklin, Ohio organizing and packing medical supplies for future medical mission trips.
The Class of 2025 is now finishing up their first year and preparing to begin their clinical rotations in June. They are excited to welcome their next cohort starting with us on campus in May. The program is
celebrating this next step as a program this May with a pinning ceremony for the Class of 2025 as they transition from their didactic year into their clinical year of our program. The incoming cohort will have
their short white coats donned by the inaugural cohort as they embark on their didactic year in the program. The Class of 2025 is looking forward to entering the clinical year this June which will then culminate in May of 2025 when the faculty will induct the new grads into the profession as colleagues by donning their long white coats as they step out of the role of student and enter the PA profession.
