Top | | OPCWI exposes health professional students to Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMHs) in practice and provide a standardized, high-quality educational experience. The OPCWI provides training and technical support for preceptors and compensates participating health centers for the time their staff spends precepting students. These structured clinical experiences are designed to increase primary care capacity in some of the most underserved neighborhoods in Ohio. |
| | The American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) released a new national survey, conducted by Morning Consult, that highlights physician support for PAs as a solution to provider shortages and access challenges. More than 8 in 10 (86%) physicians agree PAs expand access to care, and 90% say PAs are important to enhancing care delivery. |
| | Conducted by researchers at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, the study aims to evaluate the knowledge of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, resident physicians, and attending physicians regarding the dermatologic manifestations of diabetes.
