Nominations are open for the OAPA Board of Directors for a one-year term that will begin on July 1, 2019 and end June 30, 2020. Nominations will close on March 1, 2019.
There are currently exciting discussions happening with regard to PA practice at the state level and significant changes are coming to the entire US health care system. Now is a great time to become informed and involved. The OAPA BOD is a great opportunity to network with fellow PAs and help drive the advancement of the profession.

Region 1 – Cleveland east of the Cuyahoga River
Region 2 – Cleveland west of the Cuyahoga River
Region 3 – Akron/Canton/Youngstown
Region 4 – Columbus/Marietta/Zanesville
Region 5 – Toledo
Region 6 – Dayton
Region 7 – Cincinnati
· 3 Delegates to the AAPA House of Delegates (3 year term beginning in 2020)
· 2 Alternate Delegates to the AAPA House of Delegates
The Board meets at a minimum of four times a year with two in conjunction with the pharmacology and annual conferences and the other two either in Columbus or electronically (audio and web based). The meetings are 2-3 hours in duration. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Specific responsibilities of board members are outlined in the OAPA Bylaws, OAPA Job Descriptions and in the OAPA Policy Manual. Board members and delegates must be members of both OAPA and AAPA.
If a candidate runs unopposed for a Leadership position they will be confirmed at the General Membership meeting on April 12, 2019. If there are multiple candidates for a Leadership position ballots will be sent electronically the week following the General Membership meeting.
